SCPPHC Board Meeting Minutes
April 1, 2008
Mexican Chiquita, Temecula, Ca.

All members in attendance:
Debbie Dutton, Merlene Sutalo, Cathy Yaskivich, Kathryn Grossman, Patty
White, Carole Hackett & Janniece MacDonald.
Meeting was called to order by
Debbie.
Minutes were accepted as
written.
Treasurer’s Report; $12,741.44.
Didn’t make or lose money selling lunches at the clinic/playday at
Hacienda Sosegado. A bill will be mailed to Joy for $100 to cover the
added insurance.
Old Business;
Awards – The plaque has been
ordered for Ashley Cooper and will arrive before the show.
Web-site – More photos have
been posted. These are from the clinic/playday at Hacienda Sosegado.
Parades – The Norco parade will
be April 19th and Patty will co-ordinate. This will not be
sponsored by SCPPHC and the group will be entered as the Southern
California Peruvian Parade Riders.
Decals – Patty has ordered 300.
We will start offering these for sale at $2.
Logo items will arrive in time
for the show.
Banquet – Tammy will not be
coming, but will prepare the service awards. Debbie will try to have
programs prepared. Plan to have a drawing/raffle so we will need to get
some items donated. We will give one free ticket and sell 1 for $1 or 6
for $5. Merlene will give Francisco the dinner count. Kathryn will prepare
the certificates and Cathy will supply her with the list. The award have
been ordered and the banquet will be M-C’d by Debbie and Kathryn.
Show – Cathy and Patty will
work on the Friday 4pm social hour. Cathy will set up the table and
prepare chili, cheese and chips and Patty will prepare barbeque hot dogs.
Janniece will set up the table and handle the sale of logo items on Friday
with Debbie and Patty handling the sales on Sat. and Sun.
NAPHA – We need to have the
Vivienne Lundquist High Point Breeder Award to NAPHA by July 1st
so we will order this and have it sent directly to them. Debbie will check
with Janetta to verify exactly what the award was for when it was offered
by the PPHRNA. Debbie said the Governing Council Meeting went well in Las
Vegas. The Open Meeting had basically the same people and in general, the
meetings seemed more organized and better than last year. However, the
National show will still be in Texas.
Directory – We have about 80
memberships and are close to the deadline to be included in the directory.
Ventura Show – We need to start
the premium. If we don’t get very many entries in the Novice classes at
the Spring Show, we may only offer 1 or 2 classes. Debbie will bring the
class list to the next meeting to go over.
Sept. Show – It was suggested
that he have a show program and sell ads. This will be discussed more next
meeting. We also discussed the purchase of airline tickets and the
possibility of an extra surcharge for fuel. Merlene knows of someone that
can check on prices from Lima.
Points – It was approved that
we resume paying $250 to have the points tabulated starting with 2007.
The meeting was adjourned at
8:35pm.
