SCPPHC Board Meeting Minutes
August 28, 2007
Mexican Chiquita, Temecula, Ca.
All Board members in
attendance; Tammy Rimes, Bonnie Gallegos, Cathy Yaskivich, Debbie Dutton,
Kathryn Grossman, Tracy McGraw, & Merlene Sutalo.
Meeting was brought to order by
Tammy.
Minutes were accepted as
written.
Treasurer’s Report: N/A
Old Business:
Ventura Show – Due to the
cancellation/postponement of the Ventura show, Debbie Pye has talked to
those who had sent in their entries. As checks had been deposited, some
wanted refunds and others wished crediting towards the October show.
“Open” checks are being returned. Both the judge and announcer are
available for the October joint show. Regarding airfares, we will refund
Dapelo his and pay the additional $100 to change Carolyn’s.The hotel will
refund and Debbie will phone Carolyn Adams at Seaside Park for a refund.
Cathy will call the insurance company to see about a refund as well.
Kathryn has the ribbons and awards. Tammy will check with Debbie Pye to
see if she would like additional secretary fees to handle the joint show.
Pomona Joint Show – Tammy,
Bonnie and Debbie Pye will work on the premium. We decided that with the
championship classes, one championship qualifies for the both shows. We
agreed to go to a 3-day show. A Trail Class as well as a Parade Class will
be added to the Grand Show. Both class fees and late fees will be doubled.
Stall fees will depend on any additional fees charged by Fairplex. Tammy
will e-mail a draft of the premium for review and any changes will be
discussed at the next meeting. Tammy will send letters to the judges
regarding the system and there will be a meeting with the judges and show
committee Friday am prior to the show to discuss some policy concerns of
the 2 judge system especially regarding lining up and bringing in horses.
Bonnie will phone Kim Montee as she has been a show steward at a show
which had 2 judges so is familiar with the various problems and questions
asked. Cathy will phone Feedplex and request we have smaller bags of
shavings. Cathy will contact Charlie Brooks for a bio for the premium.
Cathy also will serve as “relief” ring steward for Georgia.
Newsletter – Kathryn probably
will have the next issue out by the end of next week. Margaret Turk is to
write an article on Marion Smith.
New Business:
Cathy has received an e-mail
from Danell Adams today requesting insurance for a Parade in Norco to be
held on Monday. However, Debbie Dutton along with Kathryn Grossman have
been coordinating the Peruvian group for this particular parade using the
name Peruvian Paso Parade Riders. Tammy will send an e-mail to Danell to
inform her that Debbie will continue handling this particular parade.
We decided to have another
meeting on Sept. 11th and invite Debbie Pye due to the 2 shows.
Also scheduled, were Board meetings for Oct. 9th, Nov. 6th
and Dec. 4th.
The meeting was adjourned at
8:45pm.
