SCPPHC Board Meeting Minutes
November 4, 2009

6:30pm
7 Board Members in
attendance; Debbie Dutton, Merlene Sutalo, Cathy Yaskivich, Jannience
MacDonald, Kathryn Grossman, Carole Hackett and Patty White. Also in
attendance was John MacDonald.
Meeting was brought to order
by Debbie.
Minutes were accepted as
written.
Treasurer’s report;
$13,099.93. Deposit still to be made from show and LAEC bill hasn’t
been paid. Ed Houston did not come to show to pay past due bill. Full
report next month on show.
Old Business;
Parade - $5440 has been
collected for the Rose Parade ($1280 – silent auction, $2600- saddle
raffle & $1560 from donations). Danell has been reimbursed $1336.21.
Thank you notes need to be sent.
Burbank Show – We had 130
horses which ended out to be the largest regional show in the nation
this year. We received very few complaints and many compliments so it
was a very successful show. Darryl did not come to the show.
Election Meeting – Need to
find out how many horses will be at the clinic. John MacDonald will also
bring his BBQ and held Bill with the hamburgers and hot dogs. Patty will
bring the hospitality paper plates, forks, napkins, etc. and will also
bring the sodas. Cathy will order a Right Way.
Equine Affaire – No more
information yet. Need donations though.
RAC Report- Cathy reported
that there is much interest in NAPHA joining the USEF. A USEF rep.
should be attending the annual meeting in Feb. to answer the many
questions. The Presidents Congress will be set up and will be very
helpful to smaller or new clubs needing help.
Judges- Nick Breaux will
judge the Spring Classic April 10-11, 2010. We will try to get Rolando
Garcia Bertoncini for Ventura with Roque Benevides confirmed for
Burbank and hopefully Lionel Peralta for the second Burbank judge.
New Business;
Banquet- This will be held
on Jan. 16th at Hidden Valley Golf Course. Dinner will be $22
per person.
