SCPPHC Board Meeting Minutes
Oct. 2, 2007

4 Board
Members were in attendance; Debbie Dutton, Cathy Yaskivich, Kathryn
Grossman, & Merlene Sutalo. Missing were Tammy Rimes, Bonnie Gallegos and
Tracy McGraw.
Meeting was
called to order by Debbie.
Minutes were
accepted as written.
Treasurer’s
Report; $5433.05 which includes a refund from the Country Inn in Ventura.
We have not received the refund from Seaside Park yet which is about
$6000. We paid $10 for filing our taxes.
Old Business;
Cathy has
been contacting nominees for the 2008 Board and all is on schedule to have
the ballots out by Oct. 18th. Merlene has given Cathy a map for
the flyer. Merlene has also been in contact with the caterer.
October Show
– Stall requests and entries have been coming in. Kathryn has ordered
ribbons and awards as needed. Cathy will look up who won and has the Mel
Harmon Award and notify Kathryn who is in the process of making sure the
perpetual awards are returned. Jan Pichel has at least 2 of these. Kathryn
does have the Mel Long. Debbie is working on sponsors. Not sure whether or
not Tammy was able to contact Carolyn Mittrick, but Debbie plans to pick
her up.
New Business;
Debbie hasn’t
heard anything about the 2008 Equine Affair so Cathy will check with Rosie
Heffley. Oct. 21st is “Horse Days” in Moreno Valley. Debbie and
Kathryn are working on this which will involve a booth as well as demos.
Jorge Valenzuela will do a performance demo.
The meeting
was adjourned at 8pm.
