El Merito Awards:

For Halter, Bozal and Amateur
Performance categories, the el Merito Award is presented in lieu of the
1st place certificate in categories when the recipient has earned a
minimum of 50% of the total number of possible attainable points in
approved shows. If 50% is not attained, the recipient receives a
certificate. El Merito awards presented in the categories of
Geldings Performance, Mares Performance and Stallions Performance do not
require a minimum number of points.

El Supremo Awards:
|
The El Supremo Award is part
of the yearly awards system for the SCPPHC and final results are announced
at the Yearly Awards Banquet and in the Four Beat Notes Newsletter.
The El Supremo Award recipient is authorized to use the "+" symbol behind
the horse's name. After winning the El Supremo Award, the horse will
not be allowed to compete for any El Merito Awards. However, they
may continue to compete in shows and continue to accumulate lifetime
points.

Awarded to Stallions and
Mares
|
The horse has accumulated a
total of 2000 points OR Four El Merito Awards have been won by the
horse, who fo which must have been won in the Performance Division, and a
minimum of 1400 points have been accumulated.

Awarded to Geldings
|
The horse has accumulated a
total of 2000 points OR Three El Merito Awards have been won by the
horse in any category and a minimum of 1400 points have been accumulated.

Sportsman of the Year
|
An award given by the Board to
a SCPPHC member who has demonstrated good sportsmanship throughout the
year.

Member of the Year
|
An award given by the Board to
a SCPPHC member whose volunteer work has helped the Club reach its goals.
|
Achievement Award
(Determined by Board, not every year)
|
An award given to a horse,
person, ranch or group that has had major achievements and deserves such
recognition.
